Welcome to the 2008 Title Insurance Study Advisory Council Homepage

A stable and efficient title insurance delivery system is crucial to maintain confidence in and the efficiency of real estate transactions in the state of Florida. The Title Insurance Study Advisory Council will undertake a comprehensive examination of Florida’s title insurance system and make recommendations to the Governor and the Florida Legislature on the best course of action regarding title insurance for both consumers and the industry. Issues that will be examined by the Council include the history of title insurance in Florida, the regulatory structure, ways to obtain meaningful data to develop title insurance rates, and other pertinent topics necessary to render sound public policy recommendations.
