Today, Governor Rick Scott announced the appointment of Frank Brown as chair of the Reemployment Assistance Appeals Commission.

Brown, 53, of Temple Terrace, is a former shareholder at Macfarlane Ferguson & McMullan, P.A. He practices in business litigation with an emphasis on employment and employee benefits litigation, including restrictive covenants litigation. Brown received his bachelor’s degree from University of North Carolina at Charlotte and his juris doctorate from Florida State University. He succeeds Alan Forst, and is appointed for a term beginning July 1, 2013, and ending June 30, 2017.

This appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
