Today, Governor Rick Scott announced the appointments of Rahul Patel and Robert Stern to the University of Florida Board of Trustees.

Patel, 42, of Atlanta, is an attorney and partner with King and Spalding. He previously served as president of the University of Florida National Alumni Association and is a member of the University of Florida Hall of Fame. Patel received his bachelor’s and law degrees from the University of Florida. He succeeds Juliet Roulhac and is appointed for a term beginning February 5, 2015, and ending January 6, 2020.

Stern, 51, of Tampa, is an attorney and partner with Trenam Kemker. He previously served as president of the University of Florida National Alumni Association and as a member of the Post-Secondary Education Planning Commission. Stern received his bachelor’s and law degrees from the University of Florida. He succeeds C. David Brown and is appointed for a term beginning February 5, 2015, and ending January 6, 2020.

 

The appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
