TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced the appointment of Pinki Jackel as the Supervisor of Elections of Franklin County.

Jackel, 57, of Saint George Island, has been involved with public service for several years, including serving as a County Commissioner of Franklin County since 2008 as well as Chairman of the Tourist Development Council since 2012. Jackel received her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University.  She is appointed to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of Ida Cooper Elliot, for a term beginning August 21, 2015, and ending January 3, 2017.
