TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced the appointment of Sheriff William “Bill” Prummell and the reappointment of Major Michael Allen to the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission.

Prummell, 45, of Punta Gorda, is the sheriff of Charlotte County. He fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning August 21, 2015, and ending August 1, 2019.

Allen, 47, of Lakeland, is the detention major for the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. He is reappointed for a term beginning August 21, 2015, and ending August 1, 2019.
