TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced two appointments and one reappointment to Florida is for Veterans, Inc.
James Sampey, 56, of Indian Rocks Beach, is the former President and Chief Operating Officer of Valpak and serves as a board member on the Veteran’s Workforce Initiative for the Tampa Bay Defense Alliance. He is reappointed for a term beginning February 20, 2017, and ending July 14, 2020.
Mark Harden, 65, of Pensacola, is the Military Aid Director for the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society. He has 30 years of military experience and retired from the United States Navy in 2004. Harden succeeds Courtney Heidelberg and is appointed for a term beginning February 20, 2017 and ending July 14, 2020.
Rocky McPherson, 72, of Fernandina Beach, is the former Vice President of Military and Defense Programs for Enterprise Florida, Inc. and a retired Colonel of the United States Marine Corps with over 30 years of military service. He succeeds Joseph O’Conor and is appointed for a term beginning February 20, 2017, and ending July 14, 2020.
