TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced the reappointment of five and the appointment of one to the Florida Building Commission.

 

David Compton, 53, of Lutz, is the president of Bracken Engineering, Inc. He is reappointed for a term beginning August 18, 2017, and ending January 13, 2021.

 

Jay Carlson, 59, of Port Charlotte, is the president of Carlson and Soforth Construction. He is reappointed for a term beginning August 18, 2017, and ending February 11, 2021.

 

Charles Frank, 52, of Navarre, is a training and research consultant for the Florida Department of Financial Services. He is reappointed for a term beginning August 18, 2017, and ending March 11, 2021.

 

David Gilson, 51, of New Port Richey, is a building inspector for the City of Tarpon Springs. He is reappointed for a term beginning August 18, 2017, and ending January 6, 2021.

 

Nanette Dean, 55, of Fort Myers, is the president of Dean Steel Buildings, Inc. She is reappointed for a term beginning August 18, 2017, and ending April 5, 2021.

 

Don Whitehead, 55, of Monticello, is the safe and efficient facilities design manager for the Florida Department of Education. He fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning August 18, 2017, and ending November 21, 2019.

 

These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
