As part of its state strategy the Florida Office of Drug Control, in partnership with the Department of Children and Families, the Department of Corrections, the Florida Alcohol and Drug Abuse Association, and other public, private, and non-profit agencies works toward increasing substance abuse treatment efforts to help those who have been caught in the devastating web of addiction.

If someone you know needs help for substance abuse addiction or problems with alcohol, where do you turn to find treatment? The Substance Abuse Treatment Facility Locator was created for just this purpose. It is a searchable directory of more than 11,000 addiction treatment programs around the country that treat alcoholism, alcohol abuse, and drug abuse problems.
Drug Courts
A drug court is defined as a specifically designed court calendar or docket intended to use the coercive power of the criminal justice system to reduce recidivism and substance abuse among non-violent drug involved adult and juvenile offenders. Drug courts increase the likelihood of successful rehabilitation of participants through a variety of methods such as early, continuous, and intensive judicially supervised treatment, mandatory drug testing and the use of rehabilitative services.
