TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced the appointment of Hunter Conrad as the St. Johns County Clerk of Courts.

Conrad, 29, of St. Augustine, is an attorney at Canan Law and previously worked as an assistant state attorney in the Seventh Judicial Circuit. He is also a member of the Jacksonville, St. Johns County, and Florida Bar associations. Conrad volunteers with several organizations including the Rotary Club of St. Johns County, the United Way of St. Johns County, and the Women’s Refuge of St. Johns County.  Conrad received his bachelor’s degree from North Greenville University and his law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law.  He is appointed to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of Cheryl Strickland, for a term beginning October 30, 2015, and ending January 2, 2017.
