TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced the appointments of Dewey “Parker” Destin and Robert “Bobby” Griggs to the Mid-Bay Bridge Authority.

Destin, 30, of Destin, is an attorney with Anchors Smith Grimsley. He currently serves as a member of the Emerald Coast Reef Association. Destin received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Tampa and his law degree from the Florida Coastal School of Law. He succeeds Lois Holwerda-Hoyt and is appointed for a term beginning December 22, 2015, and ending June 30, 2018.

Griggs, 31, of Fort Walton Beach, is self-employed in real estate and land development. He previously served as a member of the Fort Walton Beach City Council and the West Florida Regional Planning Council. He succeeds Daniel Bowers and is appointed for a term beginning December 22, 2015, and ending June 30, 2016.
