TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced the appointment of Carolyn Bell to the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit Court.

Bell, 56, of Palm Beach Gardens, is an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of Florida, and previously served as Senior Trial Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice. She received her bachelor’s and law degrees from the University of California at Berkeley. Bell fills the vacancy created by the resignation of Judge Thomas H. Barkdull, III.
