Calvin Martin is a dedicated professional with over 30 years of experience in various capacities in child welfare, mental health, community assessment and strategic planning. Currently serving as the Chief Innovation Officer with the Florida Statewide Guardian ad Litem Office, his focus is on building strong relationships, innovative initiatives and supports, including oversight of the Office’s CHAMPIONS Statewide Youth Advisory Council. In addition to his child welfare career, Calvin has extensive experience in leadership and management, having held various positions on local, state and national governing boards and councils, showcasing his ability through deep dialogue, skilled facilitation and strategic initiatives. Calvin’s people-centered approach to problem solving has helped hundreds of teams and local programs to meet their goals and to better serve children and families. Having been re-appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis to the Florida Faith and Community Advisory Council, Calvin’s passion for advocacy extends beyond his career as he works to build bridges between the faith community and state government. Calvin’s dedication to child advocacy, community service and faith continues to drive his efforts to assist individuals, families and communities in need.
