Governor Rick Scott and First Lady Ann Scott’s Statement on Mother’s Day

Today, Governor Rick Scott and First Lady Ann Scott issued the following statements in honor of Mother’s Day:

Governor Scott said, “Ann and I are excited to join countless families throughout Florida to honor mothers who work tirelessly to give their children the opportunity to achieve their dreams. Through their hard work and unconditional love, mothers ensure that our state continues to be one of the best in the nation to live, raise a family, and educate our children. We appreciate the many women for the love and support they provide Florida’s children, and wish Floridians a very special day with their loved ones on this Mother’s Day Weekend.”

First Lady Ann Scott said, “Being a mother is the greatest job there is. I was blessed with a wonderful mother who was always there for my siblings and me; she was such a great role model. Rick and I are proud parents of two daughters, Allison and Jordan, and now that they are grown and married with families of their own, we are overjoyed to be grandparents to their amazing boys, Auguste, Quinton and Sebastian. I want to wish every mom in Florida a relaxing, fun-filled day with those who mean the most – you deserve it!”
