Gov. Rick Scott and Fla. Cabinet Issue Resolution Recognizing the United States Navy Reserve Centennial Anniversary

Today, Governor Rick Scott and the Florida Cabinet issued a resolution recognizing the United States Navy Reserve Centennial Anniversary. The State of Florida hosts Navy Operational Support Centers in Jacksonville, Tampa, Miami, Orlando, Pensacola, Tallahassee, and West Palm Beach, accounting for fifty-five percent of the Southeast Navy Reserve Force.

Governor Scott said, “As a Navy veteran myself, I am honored to join in signing this resolution to recognize the 100 year anniversary of the United States Navy Reserve. The state of Florida accounts for more than half of the Southeast Navy Reserve Force, and it is important to take every opportunity to thank them for their service. We want Florida to be the most military friendly state in the nation and we will continue to do everything we can to support these brave heroes.”
