Governor Rick Scott Presents Kelly Smallridge With Governor’s Business Ambassador Medal

Today at the Enterprise Florida quarterly board meeting, Governor Rick Scott presented Kelly Smallridge, President and CEO of the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County with the Governor’s Business Ambassador Medal for her work in creating jobs in South Florida.

Governor Scott said, “I am pleased to present Kelly Smallridge with the Governor’s Business Ambassador Medal for her tireless efforts to create jobs in South Florida. She has been a champion for our efforts at the state level to eliminate barriers on manufacturers by removing the tax on machinery and equipment, which create more jobs and opportunities for Florida families.”

As president and CEO of the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County, Kelly L. Smallridge serves as one of longest-tenured economic development presidents in the state of Florida and has a solid track record in facilitating some of its largest job creation projects. Under her leadership, the BDB has won numerous awards for its work in recruiting and expanding companies to Palm Beach County and is credited with facilitating two of the world’s largest bioscience organizations to the state.
