Governor Scott Celebrates Florida’s First MLB All Star Game

MIAMI, Fla. – Governor Rick Scott today made the following statement regarding Major League Baseball’s announcement that Miami will host the 2017 Major League Baseball All Star game. This will be the first time Florida has hosted the MLB All Star game.

Governor Rick Scott said, “It’s been an historic week for baseball in Florida. Earlier this week we announced that the Nationals and the Astros will remain in Florida, and today we learned that Florida will host its first MLB All Star game in 2017. The game and the events surrounding it will bring fans from across the globe to our state and showcase all of the great things that Florida has to offer.”
