The Governor’s Internship Program provides a unique opportunity for Florida’s brightest students to gain valuable professional experience while helping make Florida the greatest state in the nation to live, work and play. This program is designed to provide both undergraduate and graduate students with a rare, hands-on experience in state government that will better prepare them for future careers. Interns will gain an understanding of the inner-workings of state government and have one-of-a-kind opportunities to interact with elected and appointed officials, government agencies and the media.



The application, review and interview process for the Summer 2022 semester will take place beginning the week of April 25th. This internship program is highly competitive and we continue to receive a substantial number of applications each cycle. If you did not hear from our office for an interview by April 20th, we encourage you to apply for a future semester.


To be considered for the Governor’s Internship Program, applications* must be received by the following deadlines:

Fall 2022
Deadline: August 5, 2022

Spring 2023
Deadline: November 15, 2022



*In addition to the online application, two letters of recommendation and your official college transcript must be submitted by the corresponding deadline to be eligible for review and consideration.
