Tallahassee, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Randall Howard to the Daytona State College District Board of Trustees.

Howard, of New Smyrna Beach, is the senior vice president and chief financial officer of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He served as the vice president of business affairs and treasurer of Ball State University from 2006-2014. In 2006, Howard retired from the U.S. Air Force after twenty years of service. He earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics and chemistry from Birmingham Southern College, his master’s degree in operations research from the Air Force Institute of Technology and his doctorate in finance from the University of Georgia. Howard is appointed to a four-year term.

This appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
