Tallahassee, Fla. – Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the reappointment of Palmer Clarkson to the Jacksonville Port Authority.

Clarkson, of Duval, is the chief executive officer of Bridgestone HosePower, LLC (HosePower), a role he has had since 1992. He was the founder of Masthead Industries, Inc. in 1992 and sold his company to Bridgestone in June 2014. Clarkson previously served as the president and chief executive officer of Anchor Coupling Company from 1987 to 1992. He has over 31 years of hands-on experience as an entrepreneur, business builder and manager with extensive experience in accounting, finance and operations. He earned his bachelor’s degree in history from the University of South Carolina. Clarkson is appointed to a four-year term.

This appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
