Tallahassee, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointments of Deborah Buckland and G. Ray Driver and the reappointment of Arezou Jolly to the Jacksonville Transportation Authority.

Deborah Buckland

Buckland, of Jacksonville, is the market president for Branch Banking & Trust Company (BB&T). She currently serves as chair of the Jax Chamber, is on the board of First Coast YMCA and is the immediate past chair of Downtown Vision, Inc. She is past chair of Jacksonville Women’s Business Center and American Cancer Society, a member of Wolfson Children’s Hospital Board, Jacksonville Women’s Network and Women’s Giving Alliance. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business, economics and philosophy from Emory and Henry College. Buckland is appointed to a four-year term.

Ray Driver

Driver, of Jacksonville, is a founding partner at Driver, McAfee, Hawthorne and Diebenow where he focuses on corporate law. He is the current Chair of the JAXUSA Partnership. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Jax Chamber and the Board of Trustees for Jacksonville University. Driver earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Montevallo, along with his master’s degree in accounting and juris doctorate from the University of Florida. Driver is appointed to a four-year term.

Arezou Jolly

Jolly, of Jacksonville, is the assistant general counsel for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, Inc., a position she has held for over 25 years. Currently, she serves as vice chair of the Jacksonville Transportation Authority. She is a former Naval Officer having served from 1983-1990. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Jacksonville University and her juris doctorate from Florida State University College of Law. Jolly is appointed to a four-year term.
