Tallahassee, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Joseph Conte to the University of Central Florida Board of Trustees.

Conte, of Winter Park, is the retired President, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Consulate Healthcare. He has served on the University of Central Florida Board of Trustees since 2015 where he is the current chair of the audit and ethics committee and former chair of the advancement committee. Conte also serves on the University of Central Florida Medical School Direct Support Organization where he’s helped oversee the development of the university’s new research hospital, UCF Lake Nona Medical Center. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Florida Atlantic University and his master of public administration from American University.

This appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
