TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the reappointment of Robert “Bruce” Deardoff and Dr. Edgar Figueroa to the Eastern Florida State College District Board of Trustees.

 

Robert “Bruce” Deardoff

Deardoff, of Cocoa Beach, is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Deardoff Automotive Group. He is a current member of the Civilian Military Foundation of Brevard, the Propeller Club of Port Canaveral, and previously served seven years as a Commissioner on the Canaveral Port Authority. Deardoff earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing from Fordham University.

 

Dr. Edgar Figueroa

Dr. Figueroa, of Melbourne, is a Physician and Surgeon at Steward Health Care. Previously, he was a Trauma Surgeon at Health First Holmes Regional Medical Center. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and was previously Medical Staff President at Holmes Regional Medical Center. Dr. Figueroa is a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico, Humacao College and earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Central del Este.

 

These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
