RE:             Flags at Half-Staff in Honor of Sergeant David Dixon

On Sunday, January 21, 2024, Sergeant David Dixon passed away after battling cancer. Sergeant Dixon was dedicated to public service and protecting the State of Florida. Throughout his career, Sergeant Dixon served his community in many different capacities. For the past 15 years, he served at the Zephyrhills Police Department working to make the community a safer place. Sergeant Dixon will be remembered for his commitment to the citizens of Zephyrhills and Pasco County.

To honor the memory of Sergeant David Dixon and his service to our state, I hereby direct the flag of the State of Florida to be flown at half-staff at the Zephyrhills Police Department in Zephyrhills, Florida, and the City Hall of Zephyrhills, Florida, from sunrise to sunset on Thursday, February 1, 2024.
