Tallahassee, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Claudia Vicencio and Tanya Kraus to the Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling.

Claudia Vicencio

Vicencio, of Hollywood, is the Director for Clinical Services for Outpatient Behavioral Health at Memorial Healthcare System. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist and previously served as a Clinical Supervisor, Clinical Resource Manager and Social Worker with Memorial Healthcare System. Vicencio co-created multiple innovative programs to treat opioid and other substance use disorders, including the award-winning Mothers in Recovery Program. She earned her bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Florida International University and her master’s degree in social work and doctor of philosophy in social work from Barry University.

Tanya Kraus

Kraus, of Hollywood, is the Manager of Social Services at Broward Health Medical Center. Previously, she was a Social Services Coordinator at Broward Health Medical Center. Kraus is a licensed clinical social worker and a supervisor clinical social worker qualified to mentor individuals preparing to take their clinical boards. She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Florida International University.

These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
