Tallahassee, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Pamela Payne to the Florida Commission on Human Relations.

Payne, of Jacksonville, is the Vice President of Northern Florida Recruiting and Consulting Services. Previously, she was a director and supervisor with Duval County Public Schools and a Human Relations Specialist with Hillsborough County Public Schools. She has volunteered her time with Teach for America, the Accountable Care Organization, the Florida Association for School Administrators, the National Association for Female Executives and the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Payne earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Southern University and A&M College. She also holds a certificate in elementary education from the University of Southwestern Louisiana and a second master’s degree from the University of South Florida.

This appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
